Wali has been involved with soccer, futsal, basketball, rugby, running, track and field, strength training and gymnastics, helping athletes manage their injuries around their training. This is where his passion for physiotherapy stems from.
Wali has worked with strength and conditioning coaches over the last few years and understands the necessary end-stage rehabilitation targets that need to be met before returning to sport/high function.
He has attended multiple postgraduate courses (Clinical Pilates, Dry Needling, Lyn Watson Shoulder, Sporting Lower Limb, Alicia Rayner Spinal Course, Christian Woodford Strength, Power and Speed Course). He has a keen interest in shoulder and lower limb injuries particularly ACL injuries and puts a large emphasis on addressing associated biomechanical and psychosocial contributing factors, using evidence guided manual therapy to get you moving pain free and back to performance. He is also very passionate in preventing injuries, providing patients with a tailored exercise program and self- management strategies.
In his downtime, Wali enjoys strength training, soccer and is recently looking at getting into boxing.
